Enquiry data and required fields

The request form collects a work email, store URL, business role, Shopify upgrade status, listed purchase destinations, and any optional context you provide. The required fields are needed to assess and answer the enquiry; without them, the form cannot be submitted. Netlify also processes technical request data such as IP address, timestamp, browser information, and spam-detection signals.

Accepted-engagement data

If an engagement is accepted, records may include business correspondence, contracts, invoices, permission and access records, store configuration details, source and destination identifiers, test-order identifiers, diagnostic screenshots, and the delivered audit or evidence packet. Passwords are not requested. Customer personal data should not be supplied unless it is strictly necessary, authorized, and covered by written processing instructions.

Purposes and legal bases

• Where you personally request steps toward a contract to which you will be a party, to assess the enquiry and take those requested pre-contractual steps: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and UK GDPR, as applicable.
• Where you personally become the customer, to perform the accepted contract and provide support: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR and UK GDPR, as applicable.
• Where you contact or act for an organisation, and to communicate with business contacts, secure the service, prevent abuse, document scope, and establish or defend claims: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and UK GDPR, as applicable. The legitimate interests are handling requested business enquiries, performing and documenting business services, service security, accountability, and legal defence.
• To keep tax, accounting, and other records required by law: Article 6(1)(c) GDPR and UK GDPR, as applicable.

The public enquiry form does not rely on consent as its legal basis. Where Matias Eichner processes personal data solely on a merchant’s documented instructions during an engagement, the merchant remains controller and Matias Eichner acts as processor under a separate data-processing agreement where required.

Recipients, hosting, forms, and email

Netlify, Inc. hosts the site, logs technical requests, stores Netlify Forms submissions, and filters them through Akismet. Netlify and the subprocessors it identifies under its applicable data-processing agreement may process this data to provide those functions. Verified submissions are available in the Netlify account and may be delivered through the notification channels configured for the site. Verified submissions are sent only to contact@viewsnorth.com. Correspondence sent to contact@viewsnorth.com is processed by the provider operating that mailbox. Data may also be disclosed to professional advisers, authorities where legally required, and platform providers only as necessary for an accepted scope.

International transfers

Netlify processes website-form submissions for hosting and delivery. Covered transfers to the United States are governed by Netlify’s applicable data-processing terms and transfer safeguards. The business email provider processes correspondence under its applicable data-processing and international-transfer safeguards. A copy or summary of applicable safeguards can be requested using the contact details above. Netlify’s current data-processing addendum is available at netlify.com.

Retention

Unaccepted enquiries are deleted after six months; accepted-engagement and tax records are retained only for the applicable contractual and statutory periods; all Netlify submissions, including entries in the Spam list, are deleted within 30 calendar days, and non-spam entries may be deleted earlier after delivery to the designated inbox and verification of receipt.

Access to merchant systems is intended to be temporary and should be revoked after handoff. Provider backups may retain deleted records for a limited recovery period.

Your rights

Subject to the legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, or a copy of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also complain to a supervisory authority, in particular the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, www.ldi.nrw.de and, for UK matters, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF, United Kingdom, ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. Cookies, analytics, and automated decisions

This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies and embeds no third-party media. There is no solely automated decision-making or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. If the deployed configuration changes, this notice and any consent mechanism must be updated before those changes go live.
